We welcome you to Tahoe Guide Service! Our experienced guides will take you on a memorable journey in the Lake Tahoe regions. From hiking, to sightseeing and beyond, we are ready to guide you on an amazing adventure!
Kirsten, Guide
Kirsten lives in Lake Tahoe. She loves the outdoors and wants to share all the best experiences with guests. During the winter Kirsten snowboards, snowshoes, and snowmobiles. In the summer she loves hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking, and talking about plants with guests. In between trips, you’ll find her truck camping by some hot springs and reading a book about the Sierra Nevadas. Kirsten also loves to kayak, build trails, climb, and do frog surveys in the Sierra Nevada Wilderness.
Kirsten has been a part of the Search and Rescue team in Lake Tahoe for many years. She is certified as a Swiftwater Rescue Technician, High Angle Rope Rescue, and Snowmobile Avalanche. She is an EMT and Wilderness First Responder and teaches Wilderness First Aid and CPR. In addition, she has a biology degree and is a Certified California Naturalist and Certified Interpretive Guide.
Tommy, Guide
Tommy’s most memorable moments in life have occurred when he’s been immersed in natural surroundings. A lifetime of pursuing outdoor activities eventually lead him to Lake Tahoe, the Sierra and beyond.
An enthusiastic outdoorsman, Tommy enjoys exploring and learning everything possible about nature and sharing it with others. Whether training to compete in adventure races, summiting a new peak in the Sierra or joining the Tahoe Search and Rescue team – Tommy is constantly seeking new ways to challenge himself and those around him.
Tommy is most comfortable, and content, when engaged in outdoor adventures. Hiking, mountain biking, camping, kayaking in the summer or snowshoeing and skiing in the winter are among his favorites.
Tommy is passionate about protecting the Tahoe ecosystem, it’s myriad of wild inhabitants and educating those who come to visit. The wilderness is home to Tommy and he welcomes the opportunity to show it to all friends, both old and new!
